hi there WE are considering a two night, three day stay in El Calafate. We would mainly like to see the Perito Moreno Glacier. I have come to understand that we can stay in El Calafate and do day trips from there. Is this the best way to see the region? * Is travel at the beginning of April a good time to visit this region? * what is the average temperature * What other sites are recommended to visit * Is the cruise to Upsala, Onelli andSpegazzini glaciers recommended? * If we sail the northern arm of the ARgentino lake towards Upsala, do we still overnight in El calafate
HI, I am looking for the same info for the same time and will be traveling solo . (35 year old female).. Did you happen to get any information at all? what days are you looking to go. As of Now, I may go from BA on april 8th -12.. I would appreciate any info or suggestions you have may gotten in your planning. Thanks!!

it's better with hiking boots, but can be done in lighter shoes too. the minitrekking crampons are big and clunky... more
