Lots of Questions: Would 3-4 days be enough to do the 11 hour catarmaran tour, Perito Moreno and cross over the Chilean side? Where is the best place to go in Chile (Torres del Paine, Puerto Natales) and how long would it take? Has anyone done the 11 hour tour ( I believe 7 glaciers are included)? Does anyone know if these tours have to be booked in advance? Any recommended companies? Approximately how much would should I budget for this area for accomodations, food, enterance fees, transportation, etc (budget travel - hostels, markets, etc). I'll be touring Brazil first so I will have mostly clothes for hot weather. Would it be enough to wear layers and just pack one sweater/jumper or is a jacket recommended for El Calafate? I don't want to carry extra weight if I don't have to. Thank you! PS I accidently posted the same questions in the world forum, please ignore that one.

it's better with hiking boots, but can be done in lighter shoes too. the minitrekking crampons are big and clunky... more
