Does anyone know how far it is from the border crossing at Taba to the Underwater observatory in Eilat?...and are there taxis waiting there to take people into the marina form there?...or even a bus to the marina....bus 15 goes to the town ...any idea how to get a timetable?
It's about 2km from the Eilat side of the Taba crossing to the Observatory - if you look on Google maps both are marked. There's a bit of "no man's land" between the Taba and Eilat sides of the crossing at Taba - UN controlled if I remember correctly. We've always driven to the obs when we've been but I'm sure there will be taxis. They have a web site that refers to the bus, so I guess you could email them? I've seen a reference to the number 15 bus being hourly, so you shouldn't get stuck.

Hi, this map shows the distance from the Taba border crossing into Eilat about 5.5 miles (over 8 kilometers), the Observatory is about half that distance. The bus number 15 runs all the time according to the Egged bus schedule - mslworld.egged.co.il/eggedti... it also stops at the underwater observatory. Martin
