Travel from Sharm El Sheikh to Eilat

by kath_s Online Now Oct 20, 2009 at 4:18 PM

Hi all,

I am planning a trip at the end of November and am trying to organize how to travel from Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to Eilat. Could you please let me know what are our options for travel (flights, bus, taxi) are? How long would it take and what would be the approximate cost?

Also, we are then planning to spend 1 night in Eilat and then travel to Tel Aviv. What would be our options for travel with this route?

I would appreciate any suggestions that you can provide.

all I write is from israeli web about sini and not from personal experience!

there is regular buss from Sharm El Sheikh to TABA central bus station
the bus terminal belong to "EAST DELTA TRAVEL" and locate jast 1 k"m from the border with israel [you can jast walk].
one way cost are 26 egypt pound.

taxi cost 130 egypt pound and leave the station jast when is full.

there are not fly on this rute!

so you arrived to TABA walk 1 k"m to the border, cross it by foot.
then you have a local bus in the israeli side that will take you to EILAT central bus station [11 k"m] take 15 minute and cost 7 israeli NIS [new shekel]
    lass then 2 USD.

    "EGGED"israeli bus company web:

    you serch schedule like that:

DEPARTURE CITY : "Taba Border Crossing"

    DESTINATION CITY : " eilat"

so you go with egged company from the border to the city center.

from EILAT to TEL AVIV you have 2 option bus or fly.

    1. bus , with egged company you see alredy the web.

    you serch schedule like that:

    DEPARTURE CITY : "eilat"
DESTINATION CITY : " tel aviv"

    location in the city:
    new central bus station

trip take 5.5 hours and cost 70 nis for one way or return 119 nis.

    2. fly

you have 2 company and you can serch there for all the info you need:
