OK, here I go again, am hoping to get to Egypt & Jordan later this year, around second last week of October for a couple of weeks, anyone interested in touring with me? Alternatively, I would welcome suggestions of reputable guides or companies in Egypt & Jordan to take me on my own tour, rather going with mass commercial tour companies that rush you through each place and hordes of other busloads at the same time and places. thanks lorrainece
I organize trips and mainly in october will be organizing one or more trip . ALso sometimes i accompany my non Egyptian friends when traveling around Egypt after i custozmie a tour for them especially which then ends with the price they want nd makes them feel like locals some how ... Hi Lorraine Okay, well here in the UK we have two fabulous companies that will provide you with what you want: Cox & Kings and also Voyages Jules Verne. Have a look at the websites. You'll be wanting the private tours rather than the group tours. I've used VJV for Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Morocco. I hope to use them yet again next year. Of course, you may find it impossible to book them from Australia... Good luck, anyway!

I have been to Egypt but not Jordan, I know with Egypt it is not a problem to ask your hotel for the names of private guides, if they are recommended by the hotel they should be reliable. If you have your hotel booked you can email them and ask if they can recommend someone and explain what you want. From what my sister has said it should be the same for Jordan.
