Hi, we're thinking of flying into Edmonton, staying a few nights, and then driving down to Calgary with a one night stop along the way. What I need to know is:
How far is it, is it a nice drive, is there much to see / do along the way, is there somewhere that is ideal for a one night stop along the way.
Any help would be much appreciated.
The drive from Edmonton to Calgary is approx 3 hours. The highway is quite boring with not a lot to see unfortunately. There are plenty of towns and cities that you can turn into for food and such. Red Deer is half way between Edmonton and Calgary so you could always stay over here, though a 3 hour drive doesn't really require a night stop. If you are bringing kids, their is a cool place called Wildlife Discovery Park in Innisfail. Good Luck!
