can u bring food from santiago to easter island either fresh or perishable. Is 3-4 days enough time to see the moai and the sights of the island. If i hire a bike will i see all the sights within this time?
Can not tell you about the food question, but I do have a very informative website with almost everuthing you should know about Easter Island. islandheritage.org/vg/visito... I think you do need at least two days (better three days) to see all or most of the sights. I really highly recommend at least one GUIDED tour for a better understanding of the culture and history of the island. We also rented a scooter for a half day (don't know if it possible to rent bikes on the island) for exploring a part of the inland, but these roads are pretty rough. For more info/pics see my easter Island page. happy travels Jaap

Yes you can from Santiago to the Island, but not from Tahiti or from the Island back to Santiago
