thks for the response. i am not exactly looking for any more info than already available in VT, in lonely planet guide or through my colleagues in Dili. that's more than enough to survive there. i am rather looking forward to making friends there, as i don't want to be lonely in a place where it is already very quiet. i am a united nations staff member, and will be in suai to assist the local people for a few years.
