Hi folks, I'm posting this for a friend. Her message follows: Is it dangerous to travel in East Timor now, if I travel just outside of Dili? I'm going for a wedding, and will be there for three nights, staying at a hotel. Any advice? Specific concerns? Thanks J

From where she will traveling? land or flight direct from Bali? If by land.... now have so many military at the border cos of the problem in Dili, where the UN office attact by the some ppl who is not agree w/ the goverment... but still ok to across.... and which hotel she stay? better stay in Turismo hotel, cos that good hotel and easy go everywhere... and to stay few days in Dili, still no problem, still safe... as long as not go out after 6pm. cos it will danger go out at nite time... so for me still safe travel to east timor... have a nice trip... mimi
