General Cost of Living in South Africa

I have been offered a job in SA. Salary offered is USD 3550 p.m. I would like to know is it a good enuf salary ?? My wife and me are spenders as such, so need a good idea, so that the deal can be negotiated to finalisation. Thanks

    It depends which city? Durban, cost of living is not expensive compared to Cape Town & J'burg. But3500 should be sufficient.
