Hello! Thank you for all the advice on NZ! Sooo helpful! After our penguin tour, we will have 3-4 hours left. Debating whether to walk around Dunedin or Port Chalmers, where our cruise ship will be docked. Any suggestions? Thanks,Diane
Nothing against Port Chalmers - but you can tick the highlights within 20 minutes. It is a nice but tiny place, and only gets busy when a cruise ship docks. So clearly go for Dunedin, it is a beautifullllllll city.

Thank you, thank you! I read that we can take a bus back, from Dunedin to Port Chalmers, in the "Countdown" on Cumberland St. in Dunedin. What is a countdown? thank you!

Countdown is a supermarket, really easy to find, near the Cadbury factory and railway station. If you ask the locals for it, everybody can tell you where it is.
