Getting to Dubrovnik

Hi, We (4 of us) will be traveling to Dubrovnik in July and I am trying to figure out the best way to get there as we don't have a lot of time. We are flying from Istanbul to Belgrade on the 14th and then the plan is to head south to Bar on the train. My questions are 1) Is the Beograd-Bar train something we should do during the day? I've heard it's beautiful.... and 2) Is there a bus from Bar to Dubrovnik and how long does it take? Does it run every day?
