What are the travel options for two seniors to travel from DUB to The Conrad Hotel downtown?
Hi. We (2 Adults & 3 Kids) were hoping to spend 2 weeks in June in this Camping Resort.
Can anyone tell me if their entertainment programme runs in June? On their website it says high season, which opens on 20th June. We'll be gone by then.
Also, we hope to visit Port Adventura & Barcelona, while there. Is public transport an option?
Austin, from Dublin, Ireland
I will be in Dublin on Saturday the 2nd of March and it would be very nice to meet up with other VT-members. Would anyone like to meet for a coffee, food or a beer? I will be travelling from Letterfrack or Clifden that day so I can meet in the late afternoon or in the evening.
I have just posted this question in the meeting calendar, but I guess that like me many people are not looking at the meeting calendar very often, so I thought it best to post the question in the forum as well.
I will be traveling to Dublin the weekend of St. Patrick's Day. I am wondering if there are any special festivities that I should not miss? What should I see on this weekend? I will not
Have a car and will be staying close to Temple Square. Is there anything special I should buy to remind me of my trip?
Thanks in Advance for
We are going to Dublin around Easter and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how the easiest way (except for by taxi) to get to the Smithfield area of Dublin from the airport? We will be arriving on 29th March around 4.30pm and I know that it's a bank holiday so I am aware that there may be a reduced service on the busses/shuttles.
Also we are going to the Fairyhouse Racecourse on 1st April and from what I can find it seems like we have to get a train from Dublin Connely station to the M3 Parkway and back but I can't book the tickets online is that correct or am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any experience as to whether the trains and the following shuttle busses will be rammed on Irish Grand National day?
We will be in Dublin over the Christmas holiday. Anything special we should not miss?
My friend and I are coming to Dublin in June and staying for a week or two, depending on how much money we have. Any suggestions on what to do would be great. We want to see some main attractions, but really we just want to act like we have lived there for years. Thanks so much! We are so excited!!!!
My wife and I are thinking of visiting Dublin in February. I know the weather is not ideal.....but we're hoping there would still be fun things to do. Are we expecting too much or can we have an enjoyable visit dispite the time of year???
Folks, despite being a Dubliner I rarely get into the city at night or at the weekend (living way over out in Fingal!). I have some Japanese colleagues over who want to see some 'real' Irish Trad music on Saturday night. I found a pub called O'Neills in Capel Street and it looks good. Anyone any comments? I also contacted Brazen Head, but they don't do Trad on Saturday. Would rather avoid one of the 'Tourist' pubs that do the whole Riverdance/Oirish spin. City centre a necessitity Any suggestions greatly appreciated..
I'll be in Dublin from 02 Dec until 16 Dec on my own and looking for accomodation in city centre or D2, D4, D6. I don't want shared accom like a hostel etc, I was thinking about short stay apartments but ultimately just looking for value and simple accom in good location.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
We've been to Dublin before but will have some free time while visiting a friend. Have you any favourite hidden gems, interesting must-sees? I wouldn't mind hearing, either, about your favourite restaurants in the downtown area.
are there any bars and clubs in dublin that suit the over 35s with 70s and 80s music?

Hi we will be visiting Dublin for two or three days, I would like to stay in a small village outside of the city .It would be nice if it was half an hour or less on either the bus or the train . We're thinking that to the west or to the south of the city would be best for us.Thank you in advance for your help. If you happened to know of an interesting bed and breakfast in a quiet village please feel free to recommend it ..Thank you Michael

1. What is the best way to get to the train station in Belfast from the ferry? 2. Any suggestions for the best express train from Belfast to Dublin (not necessarily the cheapest)?

We will be in Dublin for a few days in July. We (2 adults and one teen) would like to play golf just one day. We are looking for a decent course close to the city that offers rental clubs/shoes. We have tried to find an organized day trip as transportation will be an issue - to no avail. Any suggestions.
We are traveling from Dublin to Gort by rail through Irishrail.ie but it's not letting me buy reserved tickets online. Does anyone know why I can't buy our tickets online? We will be flying into Dublin from the States and I'm afraid of the train being sold out. Is this possible?
Thanks so much for any help!

We are looking for accommodation in Dublin, basically it's about finding a nice hotel, Bed & Breakfast or something similar. What we hope to find is a place that is within walking distance of downtown or near a dart station, a nice / beautiful place where you can sit outside in a garden or go into a park and a place not too expensive.. I have heard that St Stephen Green is a nice area but it may also be other places where it is near the center or dart. To find something on the net is really a jungle.. I hope you know some good places? :-)
Looking for a hotel very close to Stephen's Green Park/area. Any suggestions? Trying to stay within a budget so nothing too fabulous, although I wish!!
