Looking for a hotel very close to Stephen's Green Park/area. Any suggestions? Trying to stay within a budget so nothing too fabulous, although I wish!! Kim

We loved the Harcourt Hotel, 60 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 http://www.harcourthotel.com/index.html Very handy - great location near the places you asked-about, and a decent breakfast.

I have stayed in hotels, b & b's and even a private home while visiting Dublin. I would recommend Staunton's On the Green a very pretty Georgian Guesthouse. It's a great place with old world charm with a great location and also is close to Grafton Street. It is located between the St. Stephen's Green and the very cool of a garden/park called Iveagh. The price when I stayed there included a full Irish breakfast. I think a room with a large bed will run you about 110-120 US a night. Not sure how much it is now. Thanks for your helpful responses! We ended up booking the Kildare Hotel right across from Trinity College. Lowest hotel rates I've ever seen. Discounted parking as well 12.50 euro for 24 hours in the parking garage around the corner, you can't beat that!

Good location, good rates but don't expect a good night's sleep, especially if staying there at the weekend! Did you read their website?
