I am trying to find out more on snorkeling at Snoopy island. How far is it from Dubai? Possibly staying at Sandy Beach Resort - do we need to book a snorkeling trip or we simply swim across? How is Dibba Rock snorkeling different from Snoopy island? Do we need visa for Dibba Rock? Hope someone can share helpful pointers, as I am really unable to find much information on the internet. Thanks!
Yeah,they have a dive center based at Le Meridien Al Aqah near Fujeirah on the east cost and also do diving in the Musandam at the very north of the Arabian Peninsula

HI from Dubai :-) It's between 3-4 hours by car from Dubai to Snoopy Island. I would stay for a night either at the Sandy Beach Motel (but beware that this is cozy but "basic"...) or if you're in need for higher standards, stay at Le Meridien Al Aqah. You don't need to book anything, you can just swim/snorkel to Snoopy Island. I don't think you need a visa for Dibba Rock, as this should still be part of the United Arab Emirates... but perhaps some other VT members have more accurate information here.
