Wouter's suggesting Rock Bottom Cafe - it may be a bit noisy in there to chat. Thoughts anyone?

I agree with Colin... Rock Bottom's is great, but very difficult to have a conversation in there... Jess ('c',)

It was a struggle the other evening at Long's wasn't it! If Bur Dubai's a good location for everyone, how about Automatic Restaurant? There are two now, one in Mankhool Road next to Choitram, the other's a bit further towards Burjuman near Rock Bottom. Or any other suggestions from anyone?

Hi Naim, Hi Everybody, I was so happy to see another VT meeting posted for May 06 but unfortunately the timings with my trip is not perfect as I will be returning back home on the 14th of May. Will there be any chance to forward the meeting between 10th-13th of May, as it would be a pleasure for me to meet every one? Well, I guess I'll wait for your replies. Cheers, Sam

Hi Sam. That's OK for me, but I don't know whether Wouter will still be here on those dates though. We'll need to see what the others say when they come on line.

The difficulty in setting up a meeting is to find a time which is suitable for all the members who are willing to attend :-)

Salaam Amir. That's why I think it's better to start the question on here, then if a few paeople can agree a time, date & place one of us can post it on the Meetings page.

Salaam Colin :-) That would be the best, first deciding on the date, time and place here, then when few agreed post the final meeting plan :-)

Hi All, I'll just leave it to the organizer, ie Wouter to make the descision. I have sent him the forum link so we'll see how it fits his schedule and if he's willing to change the location. Colin,Jess; any suggestions on othe location? I guess Long Bar in Rotana is a good location.

We struggled to hear and talk at Long's last time, Naim. Restaurants have been the best places to meet.

Any chance for a meeting in Dubai in August 2007? ;)

Colin, the meeting is scheduled in Rock Bottom at Regency opp. Burjuman.

Hi Naim. We were talking somewhere on the Forum about that being too noisy to have a conversation, so I thought we were looking for an alternative.

I know Colin! but it Wouter who setting up the place. In any case, there are lots of near by places around Rock Bottom in case it turned out too noisy. We could always have a drink there and move afterwards to somewhere else. Let's keep it at the moment at that as there is not much time and people might get confused changing the place at the last minute.

OK. I'll check with Geina this evening whether we can make it.

In all cases I will be at Rock Bottom at 20h00 (or a bit earlier) , so I hope to meet at least some of you!! I have black pants and blue shirt (short sleeves) in case u look for me! And short hair ;-) See u then! Wouter
