I wonder if anyone could assist me please, I am looking to find out once my husband and I arrive in Dubai airport where is the best place to get a taxi, this is our third visit but on both other occasions we had transport arranged, but we were advised just to get a taxi this time as its more convenient and costs much less, does anyone know how much roughly it would be to Jumeriah Beach from the airport? Thanks
Hi from Dubai :-) Taxis are lined up outside the arrivals terminal... if you arrive at Terminal 1, once you've cleared customs you walk down a long corridor, and right outside the doors (to the left once you exit) is a queue for the taxis. The other Terminals also have taxi queues outside that are impossible to miss. The starting charge (basic fee) for picking up a taxi at the airport is Dhs 25... and then I'd say it's probably about another Dhs 50 to Jumeirah Beach Hotel... so make that around about 80 Dirhams in total.

When are you arriving in Dubai? Just a word of advise (or "warning"): today's humidity is around 80% and daytime highs predicted around 47 C... and don't forget that until the end of August, it's the holy (fasting) month of Ramadan.

Hi Thanks for your information we are not actually staying at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel we are staying at the Le Royal Meridien Hotel at Jumeriah Beach would it roughtly be about the same cost? We are arriving on 21 August and staying for 10 days so part of it is ramadan and part of it isnt, we have been twice before and the first time was the end of aug beginning of sept and it was really hot and humid then so we know roughly what to expect, we have checked with our hotel about the restrictions through ramadan so we know what to expect. we really just want to lie by the pool during the day and venture out more at night. Thanks

The Royal Meridien is a little bit further out of the city than the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, so I'd add another 10 or 15 Dhs to your trip.

Just follow the signs for the taxi ranks, they're very clear. The taxis are well organised, metered, air conditioned etc. The fare to Royal Meridien will be between AED80 and 90.

You can easily find taxi outside the airport. The full cost will be around 70 - 90 AED =20 -25 USD. Have a lovely trip to Dubai.
