I am planning to go to Dubai during September, but I am having second thoughts after what I've read about the terrorist attacks on the 12th of May,,,, I don't know what to do.... Any advice please!!!!!!!?????
Dubai is very safe, having very high levels of security! I was there on the 10th to the 12th of June and i returned in one unscathed piece ('cept for a sunburn). So, worry not and have a great time in Dubai!

Now you ask this question - just two days after I booked a hotel in Dubai!!! Think of it this way: you are probably at greater risk driving to the airport in your home country. Or compare the risk of being the victim of a terrorist or any other attack in Dubai with the risk of being murdered in LA or Washington.....

I agree with Loubna when she says that the media always make events sound more sensational than they actually are, so dont worry about security or anything ..... as I was in Riyadh when those May 12 attacks took place and being an expat I felt more secure in the gulf region then anywhere else in the world. So go to Dubai ...... and I can assure you that you will have a great ..... the only negative thing about Dubai or almost all the gulf countries is that it really is quite hot out here.

I was in Dubai a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't my first trip there. Believe me (and the oher replys). Dubai is the safest place I have ever been. Women walking alone at night in the dark was a strange sight for me the first time there, but they can in safety. Not something my wife relishes at home!! Have a great time, but be careful of the Sun (take PF20, available at duty free shops) it really works.

please use sun protection above 30 as the sun can be very harsh. Tell us when you get back how you have enjoyed the safety levels maintained in dubai ;) we promise not to be surprised . Have a good time.
