Hi, I will be driving from Madison Wisconsin to Niagara Falls in June and will be crossing the border at Sault Ste Marie. I would really appreciate some advice on the following: For an overnight stay which would you recommend, the usa or ontario side of the border? What route would you recommend for the onward journey? Is there a route that includes a car ferry crossing? 13 years ago I did a long drive around the great lakes and I remember taking a car ferry but cannot remember where from or where it arrived (across part of lake huron maybe?) I do remember really enjoying that ferry trip though and would love to find it again to enjoy with my children. I seem to recall spending a few hours on a lovely beach after the ferry crossing. Any clues and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Ok, so I have searched through several of the threads for suggestions for this, and I have found some. In July, four of my friends and I are visiting Toronto. We are wondering if it is worth it to use the TTC pass? Or would it be better for us to go by Taxi? We will be staying near the airport, but we will definitely be checking out the city. We will be there for four nights, and five days.
Hi, I am visiting friends in Barrie for 3 nights and then I'm thinking of staying 1 night in Toronto before leaving for Niagara.
It will be December and I am wondering where's best to stay for just 1 night after a day sight seeing in Toronto?
Central but on a budget?
Any pointers on what to visit too? We are not into Museums or Galleries etc.
is there a shuttle bus that goes from the trains station in Buffalo ny to embassy suite in niagra falls
Why is it still listed? Does the Hershey Co. know that they are still listed here?
Hi, I am looking to visit Niagara (CA) for the day and then take a flight from Buffalo to NYC that night, how would we go about this without a car?
Is it OK to go just for the day? We will be travelling from Toronto that day. We could possibly stay 1 night and fly NYC the following morning but no point if nothing to do?
It'll be December so other than the actual looking at the Falls (doubt the boat trip will be on) is there anything else to do?
We're heading for Maine later this year, and since we'll be passing so close to Niagara Falls, I'd like to see it. We plan to get to the town of NF, stay for the night, and leave at 10 or 11 the next morning. What's the best way to use our time? Can we get to a good viewpoint at sunrise? Riding the boat can wait for another time - we just want to get a good look and take some pictures.
I have relatives in Toronto but dont want to spent the full 10 days there
Thinking of
3-4 days Toronto
3-4 days lakes area ? Lake Huron
2-3 days Niagara-on-lake do day trip to the falls
any suggestions on where to go in the lakes area, i have no idea what towns to go to or what is nice or what the region is called.
All must sees in Toronto?
I am coming from Toronto and looking for 1 nights accommodation - central and nice but not too pricey although if it came with a great view I may consider paying more.
We are leaving to fly from Buffalo the next day at 12.35 so if you also know the best way to get from Niagara to Buffalo airport this would help too - I have been told you can jump a taxi cab and also maybe use a train/bus?
Slightly worried that border control could take a while!
i am travelling to niagara falls (USA side) and have a friend staying in Canada. do we have any such places near niagara falls, where we can meet . as i dont have a Canadian visa and my friend does not have a us visa.
