On June we are going from Parma twards the Dolomity for about 4 days. Can you please help in planning the tour.
It depends on the kind of tour you'd like to have. On the way from Parma to Dolomites there are some interesting cities you may like to visit: Verona and Bolzano are the main ones, I think. After Bolzano you'll meet smaller towns (Bressanone is bigger than the rest and if you have time it's worth of a visit). Travelling eastwards after Bressanone you'll go to Dolomites. There are plenty of places for hikes, depending on the difficulty you want. A special place in Dolomites is "Le tre Cime di Lavaredo", you probably know this place. It's really an amazing and beautiful place for the landscape but the area is also famous because it was theatre for lots of battles during the first world war and you can still find bullets, barbed wire and many other objects from that time on the ground. Not far away from le tre cime di lavaredo, there is a less famous place but very interesting from the historic point of view: it's monte piana, an outdoor museum about the first world war (http://www.montepiana.com/intro.htm). I hope this helps. Regards, Sergio

Will you travel by train or car? Some locations are more suitable for one means of transport but not for the other.

The Dolomiti mountains cover a huge area, and take in many towns and villages. Do you have any particular town or village you are heading for? It's not easy to advise you without having some idea of your itinerary.
