It depends on the time you depart, but it's about 2hr30min / 2hr45min journey. Take bus 401 to Eindhoven Station. From there the intercity train to 's-Hertogenbosch (direction Schiphol). There take the intercity to Elst (direction Zwolle). In Elst take the stoptrain to Opheusden (direction Tiel). From there bus 237 (direction Heteren). This bus brings you to Molenpol in the village of Dodewaard. From there you've to walk towards the port. You can use this website to plan your trip http://9292.nl/ Costs would be about 20 euro and you need an OV-chipcard to pay for the bus. This card can also be used for the train, but it is (or was) cheaper to buy train tickets in the ticket machines.
you do NOT perse need a chipcard for the bus-can buy onboard from driver-but that cost more. For just 1 trip (and return) the outlay of 7,50-nonrefundable, is not worth the money. IF you plan to stay long time in NL and use buses more often, then it may be worthwhile.
The above is just 1 way-there may be more, but its not the most straightforward of trips- and NO bus on sunday for the last part!In case you thinK: I'll then get a taxi- no hope, There wont be any taxi's in rural area-thats just by prearranged call.
