Hi again, well I'm definitely going! Travel is now booked. 1) Now regarding visas, I'm French (so French Passport) living in UK. Do I need a visa? I'm getting conflicting infos but it looks like I may need one. Also I can't find any embassy or consulate of Djibouti in London, does any one know where I can get visa and whether it's cheaper in advance or on arrival. 2) I now that it will be hot but what's teh situation re mosquitos? do I need a net? I'll be on a diving boat all week except 1 night in Djibouti town. Will spray be sufficient or do I need a net? Thanks for any tips. A.
Hi - think you can get a visa at the airport. I'm American and have had no problems. Being French you should blow straight thru without slowing down. Fee is about40...but not sure about the cost so have some cash in pocket. Check with French Embassy in London...they might be able to issue the visa. Mosquitoes don't bother me much, but think that a net is not necessary except for people who are skeeter magnets. Get by with regular spray or rub on repellant.

Hi Thanks for (late) reply. I have been to Djibouti a year ago now and can confirm that I barely saw 2 mosquitos and that you pay for a visa on arrival even if you are French. Ammc
