I've decided that Nazare looks like a wonderful place to stop and relax in after I finish the Camino.
However, I don't want to book ahead as I'm not sure when I will be finishing.

I have heard of the Ladies that are at the bus stop and will offer rooms/houses for rent to people getting off the bus.

Can anyone give me some advise in this?
Is it safe for a single women to go with them?
Do you haggle over the price? Do you pay up front or at the end?
How do you know what kind of place you will be going to?
I am wanting a private room and place to relax for a few days....will this be the best option for me?

We visited SMP for the first time in the last 2 weeks in August 2010 - grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. We all fell in love with SMP and are planning a return visit in 2012. But I have to say that our first week in 2010 was marred a little bit by the morning sea fog; it burned off by noon but it did mean that the water in the pool was a bit cool! So, my question is, does the sea fog occur every year? Is it only in August? Would we be better to come end/July or the beginning of August (we're tied to school holidays). Any advice gratefully received!

Hi, my husband and I are coming to Sao Martinho on 7th October for 6 months initially. The swine flu vaccination will be available in the U.K some time in October. As a diabetic I would be one of the first to receive the vaccination. Can anyone tell me as a matter of urgency a) the current situation with regard to swine flu incidence b) when the vaccination is likely to be available in Portugal and c) whether vulnerable groups will be offered the vaccination first as in the UK. Also, can someone find out how long it would take to get the temp residenc permit if we apply straight away, as we may need this to get the vaccination? Your help will be very much appreciated! I am looking at visiting Obidos, but unfortunately I will be missing the VT trip because I will be leaving the day of the Obidos excursion - so I would like to confirm, of the items listed on the Transportation tips, or of your knowledge, - what is the best way to get to Obidos from Lisbon ... or - what is the best way to get to Obidos from Cascais - will it be walkable once I'm there - any good places for a quick lunch or should I bring my own lunch - what are your favorite places to see (I love historical places, nature, and castles!) ... anything to do with the queens would be great. I prefer trains unless the schedule is hideous. If it's a bus and you have a link to the schedules it would be great. Thanks!

please could you tell me if the sea is warm enough to enjoy a swim or do you have to brace yourself? Are their dinghy boats and surf boards readily available to hire? Is it pricey to hire kit?
