Inch Beach

by Collinsjcc32 Online Now Aug 9, 2007 at 12:44 PM

I was at Inch Beach on Saturday, 4th August and on the side of a building was a verse. I know that it started: Dear Inis must I leave thee

I can't remember the rest of the verse. Is there anyone that can help with this.

Kind Regards

I was going to suggest you get in touch with VT members living in Inch, but there's none!
    Perhaps members living close?
Sorry I can't help you, I was there quite a few years ago, we stayed in Inch, it was lovely but always raining or just about to.
    Good luck.

Google 'Inch beach poem' and the first website on the list will take you to a photo of the poem on the side of the house.

If memory serves me correctly, it reads:

Dear Inch, must I leave you
    I have promises to keep
    with many miles to travel
    before that eternal sleep

I could be off but I know it is something similiar. I have a photo somewhere. I will track it down for you.
