What I need to see when I visit the Detroit Zoo site along with prices are; 1) What are the specific train schedule times per day. From the front and from the back. 2) Do you still offer the special engineer ride for children and at what cost.
Hi Meslama – I grew up near the Detroit zoo and loved packing a picnic, getting on my bike and heading there with my friends on a summer day when I was young! I don't think there is an actual train schedule. The ride is about 10 minutes long. It runs continually during the day, leaving either the front station or back when the train is filled (or the line is gone). The last time I was there (about 3 years ago) they did offer the ride with the engineer. I think you get a cap and a photo too. I remember it wasn’t expensive – maybe15.00. Enjoy your time at the Zoo!
