My friend and I have stopped through Oruro and discovered that there is no where to go grab a beer and play a game of pool in this town! In fact, the only place we´ve even found beer is a total dive!
How is this possible!?
I understand that this town only really goes off at Carnival, but not even discotecka´s are open on Friday nights... are they ONLY open during Carnival...?
The only place noted in the LATEST version of Lonely Planet (South America on a Shoe String) has closed down, the Cristobal Bar and Grill...
Can anyone help?
Is anyone aware of any tours of the salt flats (4 days) which end up in Tupiza, rather than Uyuni?

Hello there, Does anyone know the dates for the Oruro Carnival for 2005? I know it's some time in February or March but the exact dates would be useful. Also, has anyone been to Park Noel Kempff Mercado? It looks amazing but very expensive so It would be great to hear some feed-back what it's like. Thanks Seema
Does anybody have the exact dates for the Oruro and the Sta. Cruz Carnaval? I have been getting mixed answers.
