Hi, My husband and I are coming to Anchorage in march. Is there a possibility to visit Denali national Park around that time? If so, how?
Too cold and too much snow. I'd think the only way you could do it would be by plane (or dogsled). We were there in late August and we got a snowstorm.

Hi You can drive to Denali NP anytime, but the road into the park will be limited. In the summer it is open for about the first 15 miles to private vehicles. During the winter it is more or less closed completely but you might be able to drive a few miles into the park. The park service just began clearing the road yesterday and it has been warm lately. If you drive up there it might seem like a bit of a ghost town. However, if the weather is good it will be worth the drive up the Parks highway. Its about 4 hours each way from Anchorage by car. Mike
