does anyone know about a safe yet affordable and centrally located hotel in Kinshasa? The hotels I find seem to start at around 200, or they are too far away (I knowe, the UN people are spoiling the prices). Travelling on business. so I need to know chances to find my laptop in the room when I return must be in my favor. Any advice/recommendation?
Frankly I know only of the Grand Hotel Kinshasa, which was fine, and likely the best hotel in town. The prices are now around200.00. Cannot recommend others as I have not stayed anywhere else in the city. I would however choose to back to the best hotel in town if I was going there again. Hope the business is an important one. Things can get hairy around there at times. Mind you, it has been a while since I was there, and it was hard to visit the gorillas and find only guirillas instead. Good luck!
