am planning a two night trip mid march with 2 adults & my 9 year old son - any sugestions on a good backpack trip that would not be too difficult
It's been getting rather warm around here of late so be sure and keep that in mind. I've heard that there is a good 26-mile loop that includes Cottonwood, Dead Horse and Marble Canyons. That would definitely be worth a look as I've been well into Marble Canyon and always said I'd return. Thus, by backpacking you'd get even further in there. Marble Canyon is great.

I agree with above post. In the Bay Area, daily temperatures are reaching toward 70F now, so by mid-month in Death Valley you could be suffering in fairly high temperatures.
