Hi, we will visit Belfast to find sites of Games of Thrones from june 4 to june 7.
I found some interesting tours : gameofthrones-winterfelltour...
to visit the area around winterfell. I could not find any going up north l to Cairncastle ,Shillanavogy Valley to Cushendall and BallyCastle. Are there any daytrips or tours or will it be posible to visit these places by public transport??
Thanks very much for your answers. Louise
Hi all, am new to the site. My fiancee and I are heading to Cockermouth in June and are wanting to know of any hidden gens within the lake district worth checking out. We are there for 7 days and want to try and fit as much in as possible.
Many thanks :)
We are traveling from Canada and we have a 7 hours transit before leaving to Sri Lanka. We will be arriving at T5 and next flight will be from T3. I need to meet my brother who lives in London during the layover. Since we are traveling with Canadian passports i guess we dont need visa to enter UK.
Since we are not planning to go any where else, I can ask him to come to the air port but im not sure to which terminal. If I take the free bus service from T5 to T3, will I be able to go through the immigration at T3 and meet my brother at the air port . Or should I meet him at the terminal 5 ? He will not be traveling so he cant come through the security checking.
im thinking of spending a night in Oban for mayday with my partner for a change of scenery. I live just outside fraserburgh where during May Day Sunday all the bars have bands and other entertainment and wondered what Oban has to offer during this day ?
In blunt terms is the Titanic Experience worth it - I know that this is a subjective question and is there parking nearby. How long should I allow for the visit. What exactly is involved with the boat trip. The website leaves a lot to be desired. So often these historical attractions are not worth their money - being on a tight budget would the money be better spent on a pub meal?
I have booked flights with Singapore Airlines from Edinburgh to Singapore next month. I arrive at Heathrow Terminal 5 at 0925on a BA flight and leave from Terminal 2 with Singapore Airlines at 1130 so just over 2 hours connection time.
Will this be enough? I'm not sure if I can check my suitcase through from Edinburgh as I don't think there is a Singapore Airlines check in there.(The BA ticket was bought through them though.)
I'm panicking a little as, although I know Singapore Airlines will be obliged to get me back if I don't make the connection, all the later flights seem to be full and I have an onward connection to New Zealand that I need to get.
I'd really appreciate any advice. 3
After reading so many reviews from you all i have decided to visit isle of skye. Pl tell should i go with a 3 day tour by Timberbush.as I will be using public transport. If not then is it possible to move of our own I mean the transportation and all will be convenient. I have booked 2nights stay in portree. This is in july.
I'm planning on a visit to Forres Scotland in June 2015. Can you tell me if there is Public Transportation around the town? I will not have a car to get around town and need to know if there are buses I can take to get around.
I would like to go see the Brodies Castle, Cawdor Castle and Suenos Stone. I also want to see the monastery. It all hinges on if I need to hire taxis to get around.
If I have not baggage to pick up, I will just have cabin baggage is it possible to use the Flight Connections to go to my next flight if I have an e-ticket. I will be landing in Terminal 2 with Singapore and flying out of the same Terminal with Aer Lingus but I have separate tickets. Or if I checked in on-line on the way over and had a boarding card would that work better? Also any ideas how long before you can check in on-line for an Aer Lingus flight? Looking forward to some helpful feedback. Thanks
Flying into Belfast, will stay at Holiday Inn Express on University Street, were told to take bus 300 from airport to go to Europa Hotel Bus Station, is that going to be walking distance to Holiday Inn? Can't afford what I fear may be expensive taxi rides?Also is it about 10£ for return ticket (to and from) ? also where would I go to catch train to Dublin, from same hotel? Is that also walking distance? Thanks very much for any assistance. We are used to walking, though middle aged, just have to keep in mind we have two suitcases to tag from airport with us. :)
We are planning to travel free and easy on a 14-day trip to United Kingdom. After reading the many suggestions from travellers to the questions posed in this forum, I have in mind to travel to London in the first instance and from there, take a train up North. Our interests are:
(a) beautiful autumn sceneries, possibly in a village;
(b) landmarks and famous places in London and UK;
© experience falling snow, however, brief;
With these things in mind, we are thinking of making Edinburgh as our Northern base. After we complete North UK, hopefully experience falling snow, we will travel back to London.
However, I am at a loss as to how many days we should remain in each city or town. Or the places we should not miss. Can you help to give us some tips on a draft itinerary? And whether or not it is good to rent a car or travel on public transport? Thank you.
I'm going traveling in a few weeks and my parents want to drop me off and come into the terminal to make sure i'm checked in all right. I was just wondering about parking.
I've read about the multi storey and that being the best option, but how & where do you go about paying? especially as they'll only be parked for 30mins - 1hour.
Complete novice to this sort of thing. I'm normally just dropped off and that's that. So any help will be more than appreciated
Unless I can come up with a better idea, we are flying into Edinburgh on Friday morning, picking up a car at the airport, driving to Loch Lomond so my husband can do a swim on Saturday morning, driving back to Edinburgh for the Tattoo Saturday night (tickets are still available as of a few minutes ago for the 7:30 show) and then leaving Sunday morning to head north.
So if we are coming back from Loch Lomond, is there any place close enough to Edinburgh that we can stay with parking, free or pay, and take a train/bus into Edinburgh? Or maybe a train station where we can park overnight and then continue onto a nearby hotel? Or maybe there's long term cheaper parking at the airport? Obviously hotels are at a premium although I can still find one but I'm also not wild about actually driving into Edinburgh city center since we will already have the opposite side of the road issue to worry about.
Maybe an airport hotel? Queensferry? Leith? Mainly I'm concerned about ease of finding it and ease of getting into the city center. Thanks.
I will be flying from London and landing at Belfast around noon. Then plan to take rental car and then proceed to Belfast Castle. Then head to Armoy, Antrim to see some locations of Game of Thornes. Then end the day in LondonDerry hotel. Then start next day drive around coast, visit Giant's causeway and head back to Belfast. I think we may have more time in Day 2 - please suggest if we can cover more., our flight back is at around 7pm, so we may need to drop our car around 5pm. If we can cover more - whatelse we can cover - or can we rearrange our itinerary to a better one?
Hi, we are visiting the area in the next couple of weeks and would like to visit Lundy for the day. What is the best boat / ferry service to use from Lynton down to Clovelley Area?
Can you tell me what is possible to do in a few hours from 7 am to 3 pm in Edinburgh?
Is it maybe possible to go to Glasgow or St Andrews?
Is it possible to go to Arthur's seat early in the morning? How long does it take from Masson House to get to Arthur's seat?
Thank you very much!
This summer we plan to make a trip to Europe. So, we’re looking for the not too expensive travel agency in Belfast. I’d like to hear about your own experience. Thanks.
I am from Mumbai and visiting London in May. I am planning a trip to Isle of sky from 23-25th May (leave 22nd night and reach back London by 25th evening), so can someone suggest how i should travel to isle of sky and what i can do in the limited time? (Budget constrains, so please advise a trip where expenditure would be moderate)
