Hello, What is the best way to get from Dehli to Darjeeling by train? How long does it take? Thanks, Eileen
My estimate would be at least 50 hours by train. Better way would be to fly from Delhi to Bagdogra, then Taxi/Jeep to Darjeeling (about 6 hours)

Flight is better and faster. But if you are interested by train. This is the best combination 1. Rajdhani Express from Delhi-Howrah (17-18 hours) and then 2.Express train from Howrah-Siliguri(New Jalpaiguri)-8-10 hours, eg Darjeeling mail. 3. Siliguri to darjeeling-Taxi

when do u plan to visit darjeeling......you have direct train to New jalpaiguri deom delhi 27 hrs....you get shared jeeps 4 hrs to darjeeling.....
