Buying appartment in Damascus.

Dear all, I am interested in buying an appartment in Damascus, and I would therefor be very thankful for any advise and information on how to go about it. I would like to know more about the price level and how much you can get for your money so to speak. I would also like to find out about any legal issues that I need to consider and I'd of course enjoy to share your views upon what the most attractive areas are. Thank you in advance! Ghada.
