Hey Guys, Bill...thanks for your reply...I believe the hotel provides free shuttle up to five miles (will get me to Christies). What good steak restaurants (inexpensive side) are there close to downtown? I once ate at Texas Land & Cattle...it seemed pretty good (I had the ribeye which was good). How far is the Galleria which i remember visiting a few years back...I am a HUGE Cowboys fan and went to that shop owned by the Cowboys (buying many things)...Hope a native of Dallas can help me out make the most of my time since i will only be there from Sunday through Wednesday...thanks!
Don't know much about the steak thing..I'm a vegaterian (sorry, no help there). The Galleria is about 15minutes from downtown. Check out the Uptown area. It is close to downtown and you can ride the trolley cars for free to the area (that is fun). Lots of upscale shops and stuff there. Have fun. Did you know that you can tour the Cowboys stadium? I have done it and they take you in the locker room and on the field. If you are a big fan, this might be something fun to do. Have fun in the Big D.

I personally would hire a car and head over to Fort Worth for the day as well. It is the more traditional old time... more
