Planning to visit Dakar in early February on business. Just a few questions: 1. Any good hotel near the 'Sandaga' market area? An international chain hotel would be better. 2. Is Dakar a safe place? I'd travelled to East Africa (Kenya & Tanzania) last year and found that they were not very safe and we were adviced to be back in the hotel before dark. 3. What's the weather gonna be like in Feb? Any help will be greatly apprecaited. Thanks.

    Hi Dakar is a safe place, you can find An international chain hotel and it will be not far to SANDAGA.In this time It is a bit cold at night and hot day with temperatures up to 35 degrees... If you have any other questions let me know. sheikh

    Hi Am visiting Dakar in March for the OCI meeting. I will be staying for 10 days. Any idea of car rental and any place of stay like apartment that I can rent for short lease? Thanks
