I have a full extra day in Prague and I'm trying to decide which castles to go visit. I will have a car. The ones that have gotten my attention are:
- Karlstejn
- Kriviklat
- Kokorin
- Konopiste
I think I can probably get two of these done in my extra day. But they all look beautiful.
Any particular recommendation on which ones to see?
thanks!
Hi, my name is Francesco and I am an italian boy. Next summer I am going to Prague with my girlfriend. We had never stayed there and I'd like say that we should visit. We'll stay ther since 8 august to 13. Five days are enough to visit Prague quietly?
P.S. I'm sorry for my english, but I haven't study it for six years
ok - so here is "one of those questions". I have previously traveled to Prague from Munich via Nuremberg during the summer, and found very few people traveling in the train. The Nuremberg station (possibly not a main station as it was small) - had some rough teenagers hanging around.
We will be in Germany this December and was looking at taking a side trip to Prague - but have no idea what is the situation taking a train from Dresden - as I'd rather not go thru Nuremberg. I noticed most connections in the Die Bahn site went thru Nuremberg - unless we went to Dresden first.
Anyhow - what can we expect in the journey from Dresden to Prague as far as safety?
Also - is there a reliable ATM in the train station as we'll only have Euros.
Thaks!
How safe is it to drive
What is (approximately) the smallest difference (in %) between bit and offer for KZC/Euro?
Where to change Euro in KZC?
Thanks in advance.
What is the best type of accomodations for Prague, hotel or apartment? Which would give me the best price? I'm thinking Old Town.
Thank you,

Hey guys,
Me and a bunch of my 7 close buddies are having a bachelor party in prague mid august, would like to know which clubs to hit for good music, food etc, and which hotel's you would suggest?,
Thanks, Sidd
This may seem like a strange request, but every new city that I go to I try to find an accessible rooftop that I can get on to and get some great pics from high up. I know that Prague has a couple of official options for attractions with a view, but can anyone give me clues on where I might be able to get an unofficial view of the city from a rooftop??
I would also be interested in recommendations on where to go to get the best city-scape views!
In September I will be flying into Prague, renting a car and driving to Rome and back to Prague . I am interested in scenic drives, interesting places to stay and eat (not too expensive). I'm more interested in small rural villages than larger cities, I would like to hike some, meet locals and see odd and unusual places. I will have two weeks to make the trip. What countries should I drive through, what stops should I make?
Having just returned from Prague after 5 visits I could not help notice how quiet it is, Charles Bridge 4- 6 stalls, no music, Restaurants empty, bars quite, or is it the time of year, are tourists moving on to newer destinations, or are the prices catching up with everything. what do the locals think!!!
Is it worth to buy it?
Hi all, Three girlfriends and I are visiting Prague next Saturday and while we think we have the usual sights covered as part of our 4 day itinerary, thanks to all of you who have posted tips on VT, we wondered if anyone can tell us if there are any pleasant casinos we might visit. We're all travelling light, so we won't have any swanky clothes, but thought it might be fun to try our luck if there is somewhere which will let us in wearing casual clothes, but at the same time isn't too down at heel. We're staying near Wenceslas Square. Thanks in advance for any help you can give :)
Hi! Need to travel from Prague to Passau for Danube Cruise. Any suggestions on companies to use for the transfer? Have the time to spend a day making the trip....any ideas? Thanks
Hi, I'm going to Prague for 2 days and I would love to hear your absolute favorite things to see/do/ or where to eat. The "musts" in your opinions. I don't have very much time so I would love to know what is definitely worth seeing and what I can skip. Thank you!!!
Hi, I am taking the train from Dresden to Prague and wants directly to the Prague airport. Where can I get out of train: Prague "Holesovice" or Prague hln (main-station). How do I get from the station to airport? How much is a taxi? Thank you.
I am planning a 4 day visit to Prague in February.(2013) From my trip research,I am disappointed to find that no cameras / photos are allowed in most of the churches in Prague. Is this correct ? Thank you for any information regarding this subject.
I am planning a motorbike trip to and around the Czech Republic this summer. We (my Girlfriend and I ) travel alone on one bike, I like to research my destinations before I go there and in looking at the many posts about the Czech Republic I see on this site, pretty much all of them go on about the crime in Prague. I have toured through a number of countries in Europe over ten years now, so do not consider myself a 'green horn' when it comes to touring so its not advice on where to go, or what to see that I am after. We avoid the tourist traps as much as possible and prefer to disappear out into the countryside as far from centers of population as possible, (that way you meet the real people). I consider myself fairly savvy when it comes to the usual tourist cons that many gullible travelers fall prey to and I hope I can avoid falling into those sorts of problems. All major cities have pickpockets and con artists, these we expect, but what about out of the major cities, what can I expect there? What I would like someone to tell me is what if any sort of craftiness the locals (uniformed or otherwise) may get up to if they meet two lone travelers who don't speak the language. A bit, and I mean a bit of french has just about served me well enough so far and besides I like to try and learn the language as I go. I don't see armed bandits around every bend but forewarned is forearmed.
Could anyone suggest me a good and/or fancy restaurant in south Prague, somewhere around Chodovec. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I am planning a trip to Prague at the beginning of January to learn Czech. Can you help me with choosing the right school that will teach me some basics? Thanks a lot!
