I am planning to visit Prague, Budapest and Vienna on Aug-Sept, spending around 15 days.
I don t know how to start. I d like to finish my trip with the best place, so maybe it should be Budapest, Vienna and Prague?Which one needs to spend more time? Does it worth include another city/country nearby?
Any suggestion about the best period or events occurring between aug and sept?
I will arrive tomorrow at Prag airport about 11.30 and need to go by train or bus to Vysokov.
What is the best way?
Hello, When we get off our river cruise in Budapest we want to take a day train to Prague (we will be staying near Charles Bridge). Which train station would be most convenient for us in both Budapest and Prague? Also, the price seems to vary from 18Euro to 100 Euro?! We would greatly appreciate your recommendations. Thank you!
Off to prague for Christmas. I understand that on 24th we are best booking as many restaurants are closed. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Secondly - will we need to book restaurants for other nights before we go or can we just pick restaurants once there?
WE were there in 2009 and stayed at the Grand Hotel. Just a short walk across the street into the city centre we discovered a great little pizza place with patio seating. We are trying to remember the name as my cousin and his wife will be traveling there soon and will also be staying at the Grand.
Also we are recommending to them Mamut for the pour-yourself-beer concept...unknown in the US !
What are pedestrian only streets in Prague? Areas where there are no cars at all, only pedestrians
Any ideas what the best tours in Prague are? I am going there at Christmas and would really appreciate some advice - there seems to be so many different options. Thanks in advance. Pascal
Hello everyone! :) I'm Betty from Poland. I have some questions. In December 2013 I will go to Prague with my friends, it will be my first time there, so I would like to know how I could spend my free time in interesting way in this beautiful city. We'll stay there for few days and we want to see some charming and interesting places. Can you advise me where should we go? Do you know any cheap hotels and cafes? Maybe some events in Prague in December?
Thanks for your answers. Greetings from Poland. :)
Hi, my kids are 6 and 8 years old. What could be a nice program for them on the weekend (besides the zoo, which seems really nice)?

I am wanting to reserve a seat on the EC176 Johannes Brahms, Prague to Berlin. Looking at the seat map and configuration of the seats in the 2nd class car, it looks like the front of the car, direction of travel, seats start at the low number and work back through the car to the higher numbers. Also it looks like seats, facing the front, are two on the right side and one on the left side, as it shows no aisle, is this correct? I am looking at the1st class car and thinking that the 2nd class car is set up pretty much in the same configuration.
We're planning a trip to Czech Pepublic in April. We need to choose between Cesky Raj and Teplice nad Metuji. We'd like to visit one of them on the way to Wroclaw to Prag and can only spend one day. I'd be grateful if anyone who knows these places give me some advice.
Thank in advance.
Could you recommend some restaurants in Prague (centre or nearby) which serve both meat and vegetarian dishes? I'm traveling with some friends who eat meat while I'm a vegetarian.
Also, we don't know the language so if you could suggest Czech names of dishes I should look out for, I mean vegetarian ones?
Tkanks a lot.
Which places do you recommend to visit with children?
We are going to Prague with our son (6yrs)in the beginning of November.Thank you.
Can someone tell me if the T-34/85 is still on display outside the entrance to the open-air museum in Smecno? I was looking at it on Google Maps and the tank is missing. I'm not sure when the Google Maps footage was made though
Thank you all
I'm looking for suggestions for a possible day out from Prague in mid November.
The location needs to be accessible by public transport (preferably train) - a picturesque journey would be a real bonus. I also am mindful of the fact that the days aren't very long at that time of year.
I'm looking for something other than the 'usual suspects' (Kutna Hora, Karlovy Vary, Olomouc, Loket).
If it's a nice day, then the idea of visiting somewhere in the mountains along the border with Germany/Poland is appealing. Or maybe catching the train from Prague to Dresden to experience the rail journey along the Elbe Valley?
Has anyone ridden this using an e-bike?
We are considering this next May. What is the weather like at this time?
Is there a bead shop in Brno

Traveling to Europe and getting Euro currency through ATM as an USA banking customer is rather simple and found to be the best exchange rate. However, going to the Czech Republic will be another story. Is the better value getting Czech currency from an ATM or exchanging Euro at a bank in the Czech Republic?
