Cyprus

We are traveling to Cyprus in August landing at Larnaca then traveling to the north of the island. I have heard there may be problems hiring a car in the South then traveling to the north? I have also heard that you can purchase insurance to cover you at the border, but no details of the cost.
Could you please give me advise on this.

It seems to be a bus stop in Choirokoitia - anyone knows if the stop is close to the neolithic site or close to the group of shops on the other side of the highway?

Can you generally trust the timetables of the intercity buses?

we are staying quite close to the water park - are there buses which run into the centre of Ayia Napa

Is there anywhere in/near Ayia Napa in Cyprus where I can practice the piano? I am going for a week and cannot really afford not to practice for that amount of time. I am happy to pay.

Is there any open venues where I can practice my ballroom and latin. evening or during day. do not want lessons just somewhere to dance in south Cyprus . I am staying near larnaca and have hire car. peter

is there a low budget accommodation there?
in the villages?

is it like romania that have rooms to rent in their houses or something like it?

Okay so I'd like to celebrate my girfriend's birthday Thursday May 16th by taking her to a lounge/restaurant where slow live music is played (Jazz, Piano, even Mediterranean music) cozy atmosphere, intimate setting for couples, ROMANTIC! I'm looking to rent a furnished villa or apartment around Kato Paphos from the 23/9/13 to 23/12/13. The agents I've tried want to rent for 12 months or by the week, which is too expensive. I'm looking for 2/3 bedrooms with pool, and would consider all areas around Kato Paphos except Universal. My budget is up to 650 euros per month. Occupants are all pensionable age, so no noisy parties, myself and wife would be there all the period, and we're fit. With visits from relatives steep hills and steps could be a problem for one visitor, but not insurmountable. Anyone need to let out their property?

Hi I am travelling to Northern Cyprus next week and staying near Iskele. My phone provider does not cover the North, so have advised me to buy a local sim card when I am there (my phone is unlocked). I need the internet more than making phone calls, so I can connect via Skype, Facebook, etc...... back to the UK. Can anyone recommend a decent local Data sim card that I can buy, and also where can I get it from? Also, are there any Wifi spots round there?

To take a Taxi it will be too expensive for me,they ask 130 euro for just 1 way !

We're staying in Protaras on a very limited budget. Just 2 of us, a couple. We'd like to know where the best priced grocery market would be located around Captain Karas Apts. as we'd like to mostly stay in and cook our meals.
