Inca Trail in the wet season?

January is the wettest month in Cuzco. Has anyone done the Inca Trail during the wet season? What should I expect ... 4 days of battling rain, cold, and mud?

    Rain and a little cold, but no mud. I did it in January. It was fine. I wrote a travelogue on the Inca Trail under my Machu Picchu page, feel free to read it for reference.
