Transport from Cuzco to Tinqui

Hello all! I am planning on doing the Ausangate trek in a few weeks by myself (don't like guided tours). I have to go from Cuzco to Tinqui where the trail starts. I have the Bradt travel guide (trekking in Peru and Bolivia) and according to what I read, transportation is very limited (1 hour by bus followed by 6 hours by truck). Does anyone have any updates on this? Also, does anyone know how frequently does this transportation run? Thank you very much in advance! Miguel
