by Bawheid Online Now Sep 2, 2003 at 11:46 AM

I've heard that there is a ferry from somewhere on the peninsula to dubrovnik which takes about 22hrs. Has anyone been on this, and if so, was it any good? Cheers

I've been on the ferry from Zadar to Dubrovnik and it was pretty fun. i know it starts from much farther north you just have to check. it stops at several island, and you are allowed to get off at any of them for up to a week. it can get very crowded in the middle of the summer, but in september i bet it would be awsome. have fun, i wish i could be back there.

Yes, there is a ferry departing from Rijeka to Dubrovnik. It is called the "fast coastal line". Schedule is about 3 times a week, departing from Rijeka in the late afternoon. The ferry is OK and it is operated by Jadrolinija lines, the largest maritime operator in Croatia. Check www.jadrolinija.hr for details. Ciao Davide
