I will be in Croatia traveling for September and early October. I always enjoy finding small towns with festivals that are really local events. My travel plans are very open now so I would like to know of some festivals and local events that I could enjoy during my month there ... thanks ... don
Thanks ... it is always hard to make a trip plan backwards, but if I knew what towns I was to be in I could do this. Perhaps I will narrow my plan to what areas I will spend time in and them try your idea ... thanks

There are fewer festivals/events after the main tourist season except in major cities.

Depending of the weather and how it affects the harvest do keep an eye on local grape picking events, olive picking festivals in October and truffle festivaly in Istria also in October. Have a great time!
