Is Muckross house, gardens and traditionnal farm a nice place to visit? Is it worth the time as there is so much to see in Kerry. Thanks
My husband and I really enjoyed the house tour, especially the weavers on the bottom floor who had absolutely gorgeous things for sale. My children especially enjoyed the jaunting cart ride up to the house...the scenery and Killarney lakes are very beautiful, and we also enjoyed the traditional farm--we saw a cow being milked, a mother pig and piglets, chickens, etc. There are 3 types of traditional Irish homes on the farm, and so it gave us a good picture of Irish life over the centuries. We loved it...I would recommend it!
