I'm Léa from France, and with some friends from other countries in Europe, we are going to Ireland for the coming holidays. We would love to do new years eve in Cork. We'll go to pubs in the evening then night clubs. But then I wonder if there would be some places open until very late (i mean until it's day time again) cause we plan to really party all night.
Can you name some places which will be open all night long that night ?
Really hope there are some...
Is there any memory to Mr Dan and Mrs Jo O'Neill left in Kealkill? They owned the pub in the 60's and I lived with them when I was a child of 7 for about 7 months. Went back to see them in 1989 - Dan was so old and frail, Jo was a bit younger. Nellie still lived with them. I know they are now all deceased, of course. The pub was called The Brown Pub in 1989 and I don't think that's what it was called in the 60's. I want to come back to Ireland (from Australia of course) and Kealkill will be the most important stop for me. I lived all over the world as a child, but Ireland is my spiritual home, I am sure of that.

I am planning a trip to Cork next August with a group of friends. Energetic party goers on the trip will be disappointed if the city shuts down by 2am. Can anyone tell me how long and where one can keep the party going in Cork?
Also, the trip will encompass a Sunday. Can Sunday be a lively evening in Cork?
Is the spike island tour any good and do you get to go into the prison.
What is the name of the shop right in town that has souvenirs and also Irish sweaters?? I believe Mick is the owner and his wife and daughter also work there!!!
We will be staying at the golf resort for a week, playing three days and exploring Cork, Kinsale, Cobh on the other days. One reason we picked the resort was the close proximity to the rail station, however we thought we'd be able to walk from the hotel to the rail station. Does anyone know if this is possible? Does the hotel have a shuttle, when does it run? If we spend the day in Cork will we be able to get back in the evening after dinner? or will we need a car after all?
My son is a down hill mountain racer if we bring his bike is there any tracks to practice on
Our boat is in the marina at Kinsale and I need to do a reasonably big food shop before we set out to sail to the Scilly Isles and Brittany. Is there a supermarket which would deliver to the marina (we won't have a car)?

Will be staying in Cork City this summer and really would love to visit all the surrounding towns close by. I know how to get to Glounthaune, wondering what it is like there.
I am spending a week in Ireland (for the first time)& staying 3 nights in Dublin & 4 nights in Cork. I am afraid this is a bad choice (Cork) as we only have a rental car 1 day & I understand Cork is a big city. Would we better served to stay in a smaller village like Killarney, Kenmare, or Kinsale? I want the 'real Irish experience' and am afraid I will miss it if I stay in big cities all week. Also, I'm afraid it will be expensive to travel by train or bus to all the lovely country destinations from Cork. We are on a big budget. Please help! Where should I stay?
We are taking a Transatlantic Cruise next April, and one of the ports visited is Cobh. We are looking for a one day tour of the area, including Kinsale and Blarney Castle. One company, eCoach.IE offers a tour that looks good and is reasonably priced. Can you tell me anything about this company?
Altertnatively, are there other tour companies that you would recommend?
Can anyone tell me where I might get a ticket to the Allianz Football Leage game Cork v Armagh tomorrow and how much it will cost.
