Hi. We are heading to Claire in late December to see my husband's family. Time is very short and we are thinking of inviting his family/friends to a get together at a Pub for dinner. We got rates for Hunters Lodge in New Market. Dinner, pie and coffee is 16.50 euro per person. Does anyone know if that is a good price? Also, has anyone eaten there? The dinner is 10 euro, pie 5 euro, coffee 1.50 euro. I was thinking of asking them if we could get a cake from a bakery in town instead, does anyone know of a good bakery? Thanks for any advice you have.
New Market on Fergus is small, you won't have much option on the bakery. Though I think there is a good size shop in the town. The hunters lodge looks nice from outside- I wasn't in it, and the price sounds great.
