I will be working in Carlow for 3 to 6 weeks beginning about April 15. First trip to Ireland. Looking for info on cheap places to stay, internet access, low cost meals, etc. I am also bringin my acoustic guitar- any good places to have a beer and play some music? thanks so much for your replies- e-mail me at waddell.mike@yahoo.com
Actually, you will get good opinions on VT (in response to the first reply, in case it disappears). http://www.carlowtourism.com/index.html will give you plenty of information about places to stay, activities etc etc. http://www.carlow.pl/en/internet will give you more, including internet cafes/access. Mike, Carlow is a 'student' town so there should be plenty of good places to have a beer and play music. Also the student union in the college should have info about cheap places to stay and lots of other info that might be useful if you have to live on a tight budget.
