Hi all, I am doing an Ultra-marathon in Costa Rica (The Coastal Challenge-Rainforest Run) in early Feb 2013 and plan to stay on for another 3 weeks after it. As I plan to travel for most of 2013 I would like to try & learn spanish (i'm not very good at languages!) whilst I am there. I am on a bit of a budget tho so I wonder if anyone has some good suggestions or recommendations with that in mind. I may be a bit stuffed/injured after the 6 day run of course so figure a week of resting and language in one place may be good before i do a little more sight seeing. Also any good recommendations of sports physios/massage therapists and pilates classes may not go astray either :-D I'm happy if its out of the city too..i am not really a city dwelling person.
Hi Jan, There are a few different ways to learn spanish in CR. I haven't used the two mentioned below but they came recommended to me. aiespanish.com/costa-rica/co... schooloftheworld.org/spanish... Another interesting way is to actually live with a Costa Rican family (again came recommended to me but I haven't used them) learn-spanish.com/homestays.... I prefer the small sleepy towns on the Pacific coast like Samara. Good luck with the race!
