weather in september

Hi all, We are plannning a 1-week trip to Corsica, and thought of going in September as we believe it'll be cheaper than August. However, being from Valencia (Spain), that also has Mediterranean weather, I am a bit concerned that September might not be warm enough to go swimming or that we might get late-summer storms. Any advice on September weather in Corsica will be much appreciated!
