Cargese In October

Can anyone tell me what Cargese is like in mid October? I think that we would like to stay there but are a little worried that cafes/restaurants/excursions will be closed or not running. If my fears are correct can anyone suggest an alternative place to stay. We are sailing into Ajaccio and hiring a car. We are a family Mum, Dad and little girl age 2. Kindest regards AnnasMummy
