Hello, we are planning our first trip overseas from the US to visit our son who will be at Cork Univeristy. We will be there 14 days in the beginning of July, & would also like to see London and Scotland (for scuba diving). Any suggestions? Would it be possible to fit everything in and the must sees in Ireland? Thank so much for you help!
I am going on holiday to Cork for a week in February (10th - 17th) and I was wondering if there were any sporting events on at that time. I must admit I would like to see either some hurling or some Gaelic football, although I read somewhere that the hurling team were on strike due to management issues. Has this been resolved and if it has where would I go to watch a live match? I would also be interested in knowing whether there is a New Age shop of some sort in Cork and where that may be too? Thanks for any help Louise
Hey there, it seams that there are no direct flights from Frankfurt to Cork. Are there any other airports which are not to far away from Cork and which have direct connections to and from Frankfurt? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

We have accomodations at Ardfield B&B in Ballinhassig, Co. Cork. We are trying to determine how far this is from....well everything. We are interested in seeing Kinsale, Cobh, Blarney Castle, Rock of Cashel and Tipperary...but should any of these be tackled while we are in Wexford or on the way to Galway? Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi, my wife and I ( late 60s ) will be coming from Edinburgh for about four days in September. Is the airport the best place to hire a car ? No accommodation booked so what is the best way to explore the area ? E.G. One night B&Bs ? What is the going rate for 3* B&B ? For such a short stay would we be better off using public transport to and from airport and just book day trips from a B&B based in the city?
Hello, I'll be in Cork for a few weeks and am looking for day trips using public transportation. I'm already planning visits Cobh and Kinsale. From the center of Kinsale, how long (at a leisurely pace) does it take to walk to James Fort? What about Charles Fort? Any other day trips by bus I should consider? Thanks.
How do I get from Cork to Blarney? Is there a map?
I have a day in Cork, but it's a Sunday. What's open for a pub lunch, perhaps with music?
I'm traveling to the West Coast of Ireland next month with a friend who's really into music - soul music in particular - anyone know of good places to shop for that type of music in Cork, Limerick, Galway or Killarney? Thanks.
Hi all, I will be landing in Dublin Airport on October 21st at around 2pm. I need to get to Cork and I was wondering if it's better taking a train or a coach bus. I looked for info on the net and I found out buses takes 4 hrs and trains 2.50 hrs. What do you suggest? I will take a bus from the airport, and if I'm not wrong it'll take me to Grafton St, Dublin. The bus to Cork leaves from Westmoreland St. The trains should be leaving from Heuston Square. Which of these places is closer to Grafton?? Cause I'll have my luggage with me! :-))
Id be a big fan of heineken is it available on draught anywhere? is there any good niteclubs in the city centre on during the week?
Hello, If I had to choose between a bus day tour of The Ring of Kerry OR the Lakes of Killarney....what would you recommend, and why? If you went on one of these (or both), how did you enjoy them? I am looking at https://www.buseireann.ie. Also, are Cobh and Kinsale near each other and accessible via public transportation? I am thinking of visiting both in one day, since I will only be in the Cork area for 3 days. Is that too much for one day or are they close enough for it to be realistic? Thanks!
