Hi, I just wanted some information on other areas in Cork. How far is Douglas from the city centre? Would there be regular buses to and from and how long would it take? How far would Tivoli be from the city? And finally how far would Ballinlough be and is this a good area? Thanks for your help!
Douglas is about 2 or 3 miles from the city centre with a bus service although you could walk if you're feeling energetic. Ballinlough is beside Douglas, slightly further out of the city. Tivoli in theory is closest to the city but it would probably involve a walk along the quays (not the best idea after dark) and I'm not sure it has the world's greatest bus service.
