I'll probably post on here lots over the coming weeks. But I have 2 important questions........but first some background. It's a mates 30th birthday so we've decided to whisk him off to Cork for the weekend as a surprise (it's also another mates birthday but it's not a biggy so he won't get the same attention.... but I digress). So first question is
1. Is there anywhere big enough to accommodate 20ish people (everything we've found is small B&Bs or sleeps 10 only)?
2. We want to organise a treasure-type hunt (for his present) and I need half a dozen or so (fairly well known) landmarks so I can write appropriate clues and plan the route?
oh a cheeky 3rd question....
3. Does anyone any pubs/clubs that play live music that can accommodate such a large group?
1.) hotel Isaac isaacs.ie/hotel_isaacs_cork/... is probably best for what youre looking for.
2.)If its a treasure hunt you probably want six places within walking distance of each other. So here we go.
The Long Valley Bar
St. Finbarrs Cathedral
O'Connells Fish stall, the English Market
Crawford Art gallery
Beamish & Crawford brewery.
3.) 20 poeple is not a large group in an Irish pub.
